Beinwil is a municipality in the district of Thierstein in Canton of Solothurn in Switzerland.
With only 310 citizens, Beinwil is one of the smallest municipalities in Canton Solothurn. Of the populace, 97.4% are German speakers, 1% are French speakers, and 1% speak Serbian. In 1850, the population was 506, and was still as high as 435 in 1900. Since 1950 there has been a slow but continuous depopulation.
