Bedford's proud flag, the oldest in the United States, was the one the Minutemen carried into battle on April 19, 1775. Its Latin motto is "Vince Aut Morire" - Conquer or Die. The flag is on display at the Bedford Free Public Library in Bedford, Massachusetts.
