[edit] Summary

This photo is of Black Down taken from a public byway near the Charterhouse Wireless Station on the Mendip Hills in Somerset. The highest point on Mendip Hills is Beacon Batch, at the very top of Black Down. This photo, taken in May 2005, clearly shows the nature of the moorland landscape in contrast to the upland pasture which covers most of the Mendip Hills.
