Beauty on a Back Street is a 1977 album by Hall & Oates.

This album features a song with the same name as their previous RCA album, Bigger Than Both of Us. This has been done by a number of artists; The Doors's song "Waiting for the Sun" is on Morrison Hotel, two years after the album Waiting for the Sun; Led Zeppelin's song "Houses of the Holy" is on the double LP Physical Graffiti, two years after the album Houses of the Holy. Having a bit of fun with this effect, Lisa Loeb did things in reverse by releasing the song "The Way It Really Is" as the lead-off track on her 2002 album Cake and Pie. She then titled her 2004 album The Way It Really Is, not including that song on the collection.
