Bear Mountain is a mountain located in the Klamath Mountains in California. The mountain rises to an elevation of 6,411 ft (1,954 m) on the Del Norte-Siskiyou county border.[1] Despite its modest elevation of only 6,411 ft (1,954 m), Bear Mountain is the county highpoint of Del Norte County.[1] A cirque named Devil's Punchbowl containing a tarn is located on the mountain's north side.[1] Due to its location near the Pacific Ocean, the mountain get tremendous snowfall during the winter.[2]
