Beaconsfield is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Fremantle. Its postcode is 6162. It is bounded by White Gum Valley, Hilton, Hamilton Hill and South Fremantle. Named after a property that was in the area, called Beaconsfield.
There are a number of schools in the suburb, including primary, high school and a technical college (Challenger TAFE) where hospitality and other courses are run. There is a good restaurant at the TAFE where the food is cooked and served by the students; also student-made cocktails.
Current Fremantle Mayor Peter Tagliaferri (2001-present) resides in Beaconsfield.[1]
