Be Safe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Be Safe is a song by Wakefield rock band The Cribs. It is Track 10 on their third album Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever.

It features spoken word lyrics from Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo, who was at one point rumoured to have produced their album. [1]

The song is similar in style to Popular by Nada Surf or We Don't Need Nobody Else by Whipping Boy, featuring a spoken word verse followed by a heavy musical verse.

At the end of the song the band can be heard discussing the recording. Ryan Jarman proclaims "It weren't my best one, but who cares?", to which Lee replies "That's the spirit".

- The song was featured in the 2008 film, "Never Back Down"
