Is this article going to be an exhausting summary of battleship actions during the Second World War? --Harlsbottom (talk | library)

The current text has been moved across from the Battleship article. I think that the article should discuss the development of the Battleships which fought in the war, the roles the BBs played and their overall effectiveness. Nick Dowling (talk) 11:16, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

We should not duplicate the articles on the individual battles. It may be that some battle articles could be improved by moving material from here. I think this article could do with much more on the design and modification of battleships along with the development of naval strategy and a bit less on operations.
