"40,000 Allied troops took part during the battle and of these 11,200 (7,000 British, 4,200 Indian) failed to return. " Is the term "failed to return" a euphanism for "were killed" or are the figures inclusive of those captured in battle by the Germans. Should'nt we be more specific.
