Talk:Battle of Lochmaben Fair
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are two problems with this article.
1) It reads more like a biography of the 9th earl of Douglas than a history of the Battle of Lochmaben. While Douglas's involvement is clearly important, this is not really the place for a discussion of the (by 1484) long ended Black Douglas power in Scotland.
2) It requires better citation. In includes a good reading list, but does not cite specific sources for specific events, which would be very useful. My experience suggests that some of the detail mentioned here is sourced from 16th century chronicles (eg Robert Lindsay of Pitscottie) that may or may not be reliable. Their accounts should not be related as trustworthy fact. Benmoreassynt 17:17, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
