I've noticed that the Fort Macon Civil War Roundtable site contains some information that is inconsistent with the other three sites listed, for instance listing the Confederate garrison at 400 when the other links (and the article) number Confederate losses at 480 and stating that the battle was a 11-hour bombardment rather than a month-long siege.
