Description

Battle of Oosterweel (March 13 1567), engraving by Frans Hogenberg, Brussels, Prentenkabinet Royal Library.
The rebel army of Hendrik van Brederode under the command of Jan van Marnix is crushed by a Spanish professional army under General Beauvoir. In the background William of Oranje stopping civilians from the city of Antwerp to come to the aid of the rebels.
