The Battle of Pasargadae, the second to last of battles, which occurred between 552 BC to 550 BC, resulted in the conquest of Media by Cyrus the Great of Persia.

This battle may have been one of Cyrus's first struggles in the formation of the Achaemenid Empire. There is a dispute on how many battles occurred between them - the accepted theory, or a separate theory that three battles took place before Pasargadae, which was before the siege at Ecbatana, when Media finally acknowledged Cyrus as their ruler.
