Battle Club (バトルクラブ Batoru Kurabu?) is a manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Shiozaki, the creator of Ikki Tousen. The series follows Mokichi, a high school student who joins the wrestling club after losing a fight to a girl.
[edit] Characters
Mokichi is a bit of a loser, having no fighting experience. He tries to make a name for himself by attacking anyone he comes across as soon as he enters the new High School. He does so with a bat, which angers quite a few people. They proceed to humiliate him, which in turn creates a longing for strength. Mokichi is in love with Tamoko.
Tamako is a klutzy, full-figured student who focuses most of her time on wrestling. She takes after her mother, Tamami, who was the greatest wrestler to grace the sport. Tamami had an illness, and was told that unless she had an abortion, she would die. She refused, and died in childbirth.
