Baseball leagues around the world, as well as various sportswriting associations or other interested groups, confer awards on various baseball players and teams for excellence in achievement, sportsmanship, and community involvement.

- Rookie of the Year: given to the best first-year player.
- Gold Glove Award: given to the best fielder at each position.
- Silver Bat Award: given to the batting champion (best batting average) in each league.

- Roberto Clemente Award¹: given to a player in recognition of his charitable activities.
