[edit] Reference Desk questions
Hello,
As you probably know, the Reference Desk, where you have been asking questions, is staffed by volunteers. Lately, we've been swamped by people intentionally disrupting the Reference Desk by asking multiple nonsense questions, to the point where we cannot keep up with them. So we need to take the unfortunate step of asking people to limit their questions in the following ways:
- We are not currently answering any questions related in any way to Avril Lavigne.
- We are not currently answering any questions cut and pasted from other websites.
- At the risk of giving insult where none is intended, we are not currently answering questions that might be considered "silly", especially if one user has asked more than one of them recently.
- We ask that you limit your serious questions to no more than two per day.
Questions that meet one of the criteria above might be removed, instead of answered. If anyone persists in asking this type of question after this (hopefully) friendly warning, we may have to block the account.
One of our founding principles is assume good faith, so we are assuming you are a curious person who just discovered this wonderful resource. As such, we ask that you help make it a resource for everyone by limiting your questions. Thank you!
