[edit] Barricades death?

Can anyone give me some solid proof that he dies in the film.Because the video that shows his 'death' is of such poor quality that you can't make out any distinctve marks on the car.Oldandslow217 04:09, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Since his death scene was cut from the movie (Roberto Orci remarked that thus he might be around for a sequel),then he's still alive. There are WAY too many 'interpretations taken as fact' on the wikipedia right now regarding the movie, such as the claim Starscream fired missiles at Megatron as the tide was turning - how could one even tell? -FFN
Barricade does die. Yes the video isn't in the highest of quality, but it is able to be seen and if you go and see the film again and watch that moment again, you will see that his death is included in the film. I missed it the first time I saw the film as well, and I don't blame anyone for having missed it as well. The only reason I think that I saw it at all was because I specifically watched for it the second time around. It does take place, whether it is the one from the comic and novel or not, it does occur.--TriPredRavage 10:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
I have seen the movie five times and twice I looked at the car and it does not look like him and this may seem like a small detell but if you look at the tires on barricade when he is chasing bumblebee and if you look at the tire that comes off the destryed car they do not look alike.Oldandslow217 13:46, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
If you watch the video again and pause it when Ironhide throws the car behind him, you can clearly see that it is Transformed as it hits the road. Also, in the film, if I remember correctly, they actually play the transformation sound effect in that moment, but it's really quick and I almost thought it came from Ironhide, but he is in fact already transformed.--TriPredRavage 21:45, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
If you pay close attention the next time you watch the movie, you'll notice that the rims on the car Ironhide was holding are chrome with five spikes. Barricade has powder black rims with 8-10 spikes. For those who REALLY pay close attention, you'll notice that the wheel of the car that gets blown up still has the CV joint and drive axle attached, indicating that it was a front-wheel drive car. Mustangs are rear-wheel drive cars. Djseifer 06:17, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
The first time, I also thought that Barricade was killed in that scene. So I went to see the movie again, and what you see is the following: Ironhide cries "Watch out", you can see Blackout on the right, than Ironhaide takes the car (which is definitly not Barricade!) as a shield to protect Sam against Blackouts attack. In my personal opinion, if they had really wanted Barricade to die in the movie, they wouldn't have cut out the part where he was thrown into a pillar or something. Perhaps what we are seeing is just parts that would have made his death more drawn out but couldn't be cut out. Either way, there's too much debate over this, including official debate. I have watch the scene described by TriPredRavage and have compared the car Ironhide holds to Barricade. It's not him, sorry. It's actually a black Mercedes E-Class. At least i am sure that's what it is and i did not notice that it transformed, unless this is another decepticon we don't know about. If it is, it's dead anyway!!

There is no way Baricade is a mustang. He is clearly a 2006 dodge charger with the police interceptor package.

He's a Saleen-modified Ford Mustang (the model they call the Saleen S281). Check out this link for confirmation. -- JediLofty User ¦ Talk 08:42, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
