There was no information on Barneys or their parent company, Jones Apparel Group's web site that indicated the closure of the Americana Manhasset store in February of 2007. There were also no indications in either Barneys, Jones or Taubman's ( The Mall at Oyster Bay's developer) press releases that indicated that Barneys New York would open a store at the new mall. Oyster Bay will be anchored by Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. This information regarding the store closure and its relocation to Oyster Bay has been removed from the article.

No mention was made of Barney's original identity as a low-priced men's and boys' clothing outlet. The high-end fashion business began in the 1980s.Alloco1 07:57, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Store Locations Categories (regional stores?)

The Barney's website lists only Flagship and CO-OP locations, with no mention of a Regional category. I have updated the page to reflect their categorization. 216.231.51.170 19:50, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Listings of store locations

I have made a WP:BRD revert and have reinserted the listings of store locations back into the article as per WP:ORG, which says that 'a "List of Wal-Marts in China" would be informative'. I do admit that these lists have scannability and cosmetic problems, thus I have discussion on Wikipedia:WikiProject Retailing/Listings of former locations for those who care. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Logo ba.gif

Image:Logo ba.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:32, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Barneys

I love Barneys. After a shopping trip to Bergdorf today, I stopped by Barneys and picked up a cute pair of Miu Miu flats. - Randyharrisonfan 06:45, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
