- A good way to handle this common problem is to strip barite of most of its non-mineral content and insert the phrase

[edit] Bolognese stone
I read about bolognese stone which is supposed to be barium sulfate. when calcined it turns phosphorescent but i have no real references. Benkeboy 14:43, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
