Talk:Barbara Lee

Rice spent four years in a Loretto Prep School in Denver, and Rice eight years in a Loretto El Paso grade school.
I removed this rather meaningless sentence from the first paragraph of the article - can anybody correct it ? - Vanieter 02:20, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Panther Ties
I am just now watching a Book TV forum on CSPAN on the BPP in which Bobby Seale made favorable comment about Congressperson Lee and mentioned that she had ties to the BPP during it's active period. Can this be verified, fleshed out and included in the article? 71.82.88.117 05:21, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
- IIRC, she's said herself that she supported their community and social programs, but distanced herself from their militant activities. It could probably go in the article if someone digs up a decent citation. --Delirium 13:04, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Redundant Content
The second sentence of the third paragraph, "Lee is notable as the only person in either house of Congress who voted against the authorization of use of force following the September 11, 2001 attacks." is redundant. The second paragraph has more detail, so I'd recommend striking the 3rd paragraph or merging it with the content of the 2nd. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pcbeard (talk • contribs) 18:35, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
