• 2007-12-14 08:27 DavidJField 149×213×8 (27221 bytes) source: Talk Radio Network copyright holder: Barry Farber downloaded from: http://www.talkradionetwork.com/images/hosts/BarryFarber.jpg I contacted Talk Radio Network (TRN) through the contact form on their website (http://www.talkradionetwork.com/contactus), asking permission to use the image linked above. I used an informal request based on the template, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Example_requests_for_permission#Informal_.28images.29, which I modified to include my reasoning that the en:Barry Farber article would promote him more effectively if it included a picture, and praise of his radio show based on my own personal experience as a listener. Barry Farber himself wrote back in a separate email, giving permission, but without any text of the original request attached or quoted. I quoted a portion of the original request in my reply to him, asking if he had read the GFDL terms and if he understood that he was granting permission for derivative works. He asked if I needed a formal letterhead response. I wrote back that his answer in the affirmative to my email would be sufficient. He replied as requested.
