Barry Christopher Roche (born 6 April 1982 in Dublin) is an Irish professional football player.
A goalkeeper, Barry signed for Chesterfield F.C. on 26 July 2005 after an impressive trial at the club, after he had been released from Nottingham Forest at the end of the 2004/05 season.
A former Irish Under-21 International, Roche was mainly an understudy at Nottingham Forest to Darren Ward and Paul Gerrard and made just 10 first team starts. Despite briefly losing his place due to a dip in form during 2006-07 Barry has established himself as Chesterfield's first choice keeper and in the summer of 2007 signed a new contract with the club for a further two years.
