The Barrett M98 is an extended-range, semi-automatic sniper rifle, introduced at the 1998 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, NV. This rifle chambers a .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge and has a gas-operated semi-automatic action. The stock is made of fiberglass reinforced polyamide plastic to reduce weight.
