Baron Ashton of Hyde

Baron Ashton of Hyde, in the County of Chester, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It created on 28 June 1911 for the industrialist and Liberal politician Thomas Gair Ashton. He had earlier represented Hyde and Luton in the House of Commons. As of 2007 the title is held by his grandson, the third Baron, who succeeded his father in 1983.
