Barbara Riethe (born Barbara Borba Martins) is a Brazilian writer. She was raised in Londrina, located in the south of Brazil. When she was sixteen years old she published her first book titled "Pupila". The name Riethe was adopted after grandmother's last name.
Barbara is also a singer and she has sang in the 26º and 27º Festival de Música de Londrina (an annual music festival in Londrina, Brazil). She has joined the Academy of Writing, Science and Arts of Londrina (Academia de Letras, Ciencias e Artes de Londrina) in 2007 as a social cultural contributor.

The book "Pupila" contains illustrations contributed by the author. Pupila is a collection of poetry and stories[1] written by her during some years. They are all connected by something that leads to a bigger figure which a secret waiting to be discovered by the reader.
