Barajamda is a census town in Pashchimi Singhbhum district in the state of Jharkhand, India.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Barajamda had a population of 7,691. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Barajamda has an average literacy rate of 52%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 62% of the males and 38% of females literate. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

This area is mineral rich - surrounded by iron ore and Manganese ore mines. Maximum mines are in forest area. It is about 20 KM from Kiriburu and Meghahatuburu. In local language - Kiriburu means land of Elephants and Meghahatuburu means land of clauds. It has some very nice picnic spots. How to reach - By train from Kolkata / Tatanagar and /or by bus from Bhubaneshwar / Tatanagar / Ranch (Via Chaibasa). At present, Roads are under construction and it is not advisable to go by road. Also connected by Air (Nearest Airport Barbil abt 15 KM).
