Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Religion in Iceland, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. (See the points below)
- In the first place, your edits changed the outline of topics on the page so that it was no longer appropriate to the content.
- Second, the level of detail for this very small denomination is quite out of proportion to the general level of content in this article. At best, the material you have included belongs in a separate article. (There is already a red link to a page you could create for this; however, I would note that this information may not be deemed "notable", so such a page might subsequently be deleted.)
- Third, the information about the First Baptist Church constitutes little more than an advertisement for the church. Wikipedia is not a directory; even the offsite link pushes the limits of what is appropriate.
- Finally, the quality of the text in the additions is not very high; the punctuation and diction need attention.
For your convenience, I have included here the text removed from the article:
Independent Baptists (Christian Church) Two churches in the same building with it's pastor, Patrekur Vilhjálmsson (Patrick Weimer) listed as contact person and head pastor of the church. Fyrsta Baptista Kirkjan for the Icelandic speaking population AND The First Baptist Church for the English speaking international body of people in Iceland. People from 18 different countries attend the Baptist church services. Pastor´s website is[1]. The Baptist's Church building is located on the southern peninsula of Iceland in Njarðvík (representing 25,000 people living on that portion of the island). Baptists traditionally oppose requiring their members to register with the State so the number registered does not reflect their true membership. Each week the church holds 5 church services and has in attendance an average of 80 - 120 people each week though only 30 are registered. The Baptists goal is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, bringing glory to the God of the Bible. The Lutheran State Religious Institution closes for the summer months as do other churches, the Baptist church holds 5 services each week of every week of the year.
