[edit] Wiki Importance

I disagree with the "Low" assessment of importance. This organization is one of only two state conventions to stand against the fundamentalist takeover of the Southern Baptist Convention in the last decades of the twentieth century. In only two states: Texas and Virginia, did the fundamentalists have to form new state conventions of like-minded Baptists, due to the strong Moderate Baptist presence and convictions in those states. This article is of MID-importance.Afaprof01 14:14, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
