BAPCo consortium

BAPCo, Business Applications Performance Corporation, is a non-profit consortium with a charter to develop and distribute a set of objective performance benchmarks for personal computers based on popular software applications and operating systems.

BAPCo's current membership includes AMD, Apple, ARCintuition, Atheros Communications, CNET, Compal Electronics, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Sony, Toshiba, VIA Technologies, VNU Business Publications Limited (UK), ZDNet and Ziff Davis.

The SYSmark series of benchmarks measure application performance on Microsoft Windows based computers. SYSmark 2007 Preview includes common business applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PhotoShop, Illustrator, WinZip, Vegas and 3D Studio Max.

The MobileMark series of benchmarks measure battery life on Microsoft Windows based laptop computers. MobileMark 2007 includes common business applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PhotoShop, Illustrator and WinZip.
