Talk:Banking in India
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Their are so many mistakes in this artice. To name one -
- -: The HSBC was founded in 1865 in London. How the hell could it have started its operations in calcutta in the 1850s???
[edit] Number
We should be current - there are currently only nationalized banks, and this is an old News: more than a decade before New Bank of India was absorbed into Punjab National Bank. --Bhadani 13:46, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Title
What do people think about making the title of this article tie up with the Category:Banks of India? It would make it the "this category is about.." article, in the same way as Category:Banks of the United Kingdom has one. Thoughts? Ian3055 15:46, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Early history
I think some contents from the lead sentences may be integrated into the section Early History, or vice versa - perhaps, both the sections (lead sentences and early history just created by me) require a little tweaking to make the flow smooth. --Bhadani (talk) 17:03, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
