Banks County High School

Banks County High School is a public co-educational high school located in Homer, Georgia, in the mountains of northern Georgia. The current principal is Art Wheaton. The school has about 670 students in grades 9-12.

Banks County Middle School currently has a student population of 660 students in grades 6-8. Banks County Middle School opened a new building in 2004. In 2006, the school won the Governor's Office of Student Achievement's Silver Award. This award was given to recognize the school's significant improvement on Georgia's state test (CRCT). It had the third highest improvement rate in 2006. Matthew Cooper is the current principal.
