Bangi is a well known surname originating from the Gujarat Surat district of India. The name Bangi is derived from the term used to describe the individual calling fellow Muslims to mosque to perform prayer known as giving Azaan [1].
The Bangi caste are therefore Muslims in religion and substantial in number, they are known for their kindness and generosity particularly in issues concerning poverty. The Bangi family are known to be talkative and good natured. In India they are known to be substantially "well off" due to their ability to be successful in business with their good level of intelligence coupled with their speaking skills in a number of tongues.
