Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University is a government financed public university of Bangladesh. It is located at Salna, Gazipur.

Bangladesh College of Agricultural Sciences was established in 1983. Then it was developed into a postgraduate Institute named as Institute of Postgraduate Studies in Agriculture (IPSA) through the active collaboration and cooperation of the Governments of Bangladesh, Japan, and U.S.A. Finally the institute was converted into a full-fledged university in 1998.
