| Editing Guidelines |
|
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

Stub to Start-Class Upgrading Instructions for Films
- Note that instructions for articles on other types of film topics within the scope of WikiProject Films are currently under development.
To contribute in upgrading this stub article to Start class, the following requirements must be met:
- Significant intro (list the title, alternate titles, year released, director, actors starring in the film, summary of headings, etc.)
- Film infobox ({{infobox film}})
- Picture: Consult WikiProject Free Images for freely released images from a film shoot, opening, or other relevant free image. Non-free and unlicensed images are to be avoided if at all possible, but if used should include a detailed fair use rationale. (An image is not required for start class if unavailable.)
- Plot summary
- Include cast and crew information.
- At least two other developed sections of information (production, reception (including box office figures), awards and honors, themes, differences from novel or TV show, soundtrack, sequels, DVD release, etc.)
- Categories (by year, country, language, and genre(s))
Helpful links: WP:BETTER, WP:LEAD, WP:REF, WP:WAF
Once this article has fulfilled these requirements, the film can be reassessed to Start class and this template will be removed automatically.

[edit] Definition?
Why does the title need to be defined in the first paragraph? It's a standard English word.
- The word is in limited usage and much of that usage (from my observation) is improper.TimB 04:44, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Blaxploitation?
Can someone justify to me why this page is in the Blaxploitation films category? I don't want to delete it before asking, but it doesn't seem to fit a number of blaxploitation characteristics. --Rocketgoat 18:22, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "PC backlash"??
Such a cliche, "PC backlash". We think we know what it means, but dear author, can you please explain what it means, especially in the context of Bamboozled?
[edit] analysis section outdated?
Is the analysis section supposed to be kept current? Because it refers to the UPN network in the present tense and it no longer exists.Bobbyi 15:23, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- I would consider removing it entirely, as it seems to be WP:NOR.TimB 04:46, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Synopsis reworded, corrected
Corrected some false plot points, reworded some awkward construction, removed some of the wiki references. Isn't the first mention of a character or actor the only time they should be linked to their wiki page? "Julius" (Mos Def) was linked 4 times throughout the page. I also think its unnecessary to put the actor portraying the character after every single mention of the character's name. There were 4 "Julius (Mos Def)" constructions as well.
Also rewrote some cliche-ridden and poorly written sections ("only to have" replaced with "but" in 3 places, etc.) Raphaelaarchon 07:19, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] How the word bamboozled became and is becoming even more famous!
Mrs. Cheryl Cooper and friends often use this word. They may not have created it, but it is clear that they spread around the term 'bamboozled' everywhere they go. Cheryl for one volunteers often for school and is an active member of both meditation/yoga classes, etc. If you know her you will hear her say 'Well Hello...' and other silly things along with the most frequently used 'bamboozled'. Thanks to her and some others as well, this new generation will get to hear this funny word through and through! Thanks Cheryl! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.227.168.246 (talk) 04:53, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
