[edit] Derivation of the term

It appears to me that the tractor is more effective if ballast is added. But does this happen? My knowledge is limited to looking at them and saying "I want one of those". Can someone pick this article up and shake it, please? Fiddle Faddle 11:11, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
