[edit] Paleokastron=Balikesir

Sources to 'history' include Paleon (Paleon what?!) i.e. Eski-...?! which is probably Balya in Northwest. There are cities called Paleo-Castron (Old castle) (Eski-Hisar, Metruk-kale?!) There is a Hisarici mahallesi where I grew up yet except for a few stones reused in some houses there was no trace of a Castle on that reasonably flat district guarding an East-West road toward Aegean sea.
