Balmoral Golf Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Balmoral Golf Club is located on Lisburn Road, Belfast, just 3 miles south of the City Centre. It is an 18-hole course with a par of 64.[1]
Founded in 1914 the course is set in the suburbs of South Belfast and is one of Belfast's best courses. Although comparatively flat in nature this 18 hole course has been laid out with a range of strategically placed trees.
Balmoral has had a long association with the legendary Fred Daly, the first Irishman to win the Open Championship, in 1947. The club has also had four Ryder Cup representatives. Green fees are £20 weekdays, £24 on Wednesdays and £30 weekends. A putting green practice area and pitching area are available.[2]
