Ballyvary

Ballyvary, is a small village located in County Mayo in the west of Ireland. It is situated on the N5 between Swinford and Castlebar. It is also close to Foxford and the River Moy. The 2006 census showed that Ballyvary contained a population of 147 people.

Founded in McKeown's Field Knocksaxon. The Bombers originally were friends from the Aughaluskey, Knocksaxon, Shraheens, Ara, Coolfox, Derrinogue, Tavanaghkeneffe & Loughkeerane who got together for town leagues etc. They entered the old Division 3 in the Mayo League in 1986. Today the Bombers is a Club that offers Soccer at under 10, 12 & 14 Boys/Girls as well as Boys under 16, 18 & Junior football.
