Ballybrittas (Irish: Baile Briotáis) is a small village in the northeast of County Laois, Ireland situated on the R445 about 5 km SE of Monasterevin, County Kildare. Formerly passed through by all Dublin - Cork traffic, the village is now bypassed by the M7 motorway (the N7 being realigned by its opening).
Two pubs, two service stations, a shop/post office and a couple of small businesses make up this village. Ballybrittas is also the home village of the famous Award Winning Joinery firm Teamwoodcraft[1]
The local schools and churches are nearby in Rath and Killenard, while two local Gaelic Athletic Association clubs, Courtwood and O'Dempseys are nearby. mj camping, a caravan & camping supply shop with a well stocked fishing tackle shop is another very sucessful business opened in the village www.mjcamping.com
