Balance Consulting LLC is a company that provides training and advisory services[1] for tax information reporting, accounts payable,[2] and sales and use tax to businesses.[3][4] The company was founded in 1989 by Ilan Gittlen who had developed software for businesses reporting Form 1099 tax information. Since Mr. Gittlen's death in 2006, his wife, Janet Fry, has served as President.

Balance Consulting professionals have served on the IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC)[5] and the IRS Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC),[6] a public forum for electronic tax administration issues and the electronic interactions between tax professionals and the IRS.
