[edit] License tagging for Image:Bakespace 13 - power point version.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Bakespace 13 - power point version.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:05, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] January 2008

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Valentine's Day. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Gwernol 02:59, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notability

Entries in the social networking list must have evidence of notability; i.e, should have their own article AND provide at least two reliable sources (i.e., news articles) indicating notability. For examples, see Passportstamp and Woophy, two lesser known sites that have multiple articles in major media. OhNoitsJamie Talk 03:12, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
