[edit] Title
I changed the title from Badí` to Badí‘. The difference is in the accent representing the "ayin". The most correct way is with the ‘, but for convenience all the Baha'i pages are using the `, however in this case using the convenient character looks really bad, so I changed it and updated all the redirects. [edit] Family
I think it'd be a good idea to break out the section on Badi's grandfather into a section on his family members. I don't have all the information that'd be good to put in there right now, but the quote from God Passes By implies that Badi's father was martyred as well. It also might be cool to mention the song about him by Smith & Dragoman, particularly if they have a wiki page already. Well, I'll do that after I start my blog entries on music by Baha'is... (don't want to say "Baha'i Music"). 12.167.225.86 22:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Go ahead and be bold with your edits. Please source your edits however with reliable sources. Also be aware of the neutral point of view. Martyrdom is not a neutral word. -- Jeff3000 23:07, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- To be fair, however, he meets all the dictionary definitions of martyrdom, as well as the Baha'i definitions of a martyr. I think that it is safe to use the word provided that the term martyrdom and martyr are used from a neutral POV (example: Husayn ibn Ali, etc.) but if you are going to give a bare-bones account of his death, to say "he was martyred" or "his martyrdom occured" would not, by my estimation, maintain sufficient neutrality.
