Badinan (region)

Badinan (Kurdish: Bahdînan) is a district in the north of Iraqi Kurdistan region in Iraq. It was the center of the Kurdish principality of Badinan from 14th to 19th century. The primary Kurdish dialect spoken in Badinan is Northern Kurmanji, also referred to locally as Badini.
