[edit] Torsion bar diagrams

The diagrams you created for the article torsion beam suspension are excellent—very clear, clean-looking, and you can even feel the way the load is being applied at a glance.

I have just a minor quibble. If the grey plate represents a vehicle's fixed frame element, and the green a suspension element for a road wheel, then I think the load from the weight of the vehicle would normally be applied in the other direction, with the end of the lever staying at the same level, and the frame element settling lower.

Hope I don't come across as critical; the diagrams serve their purpose well. Thanks for the contribution. â€”Michael Z. 2007-08-28 04:28 Z
