[edit] "The second mass deportation"
"This was to be the second mass deportation in the history of modern Romania, after the January 1945 deportation of over 70,000 individuals, especially ethnic Germans…": what about mass deportations of Jews during World War II? A lot of people were sent east to camps in Transnistria. - Jmabel | Talk 04:49, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Then later in the article it says "second largest". For starters, those two sentences are awfully similar to both be in the article, but, again, was this larger than the deportation of the Jews? Or is it that we consider the latter to be a series of deportations? - Jmabel | Talk 04:54, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
- Good point, and you're probably correct. I'll try to find some data on the number of Jews deported so I can make the change, or if you have them, please point them out to me. Or we could sidestep the issue by saying "the largest ... since the fall of Ion Antonescu". Biruitorul 07:41, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
I don't have any data I'm holding back! Nope, just seemed wrong to me. Fix it how you will. - Jmabel | Talk 07:47, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- OK, I think I've struck a good balance. Biruitorul 23:29, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
