Bönnsch (beer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bönnsch is a top-fermented local beer brewed exclusively by the Bönnsch Brewery in Bonn, Germany. It is similar to the more popular Kölsch, but this beer is not filtered and there is more hops in it. Actually Bönnsch is very close to the Wies, which is the ancestor of the Kölsch. The beer is served in special Bönnsch-glasses. They look like an askew Kölsch-glass with recessed grips in it. The Brewery Bönnsch was founded as a subsidiary of the former „Sieg-Rheinischen Germania Brauerei Hersel/Wissen“.
