This page explains that Marko Bela is "the leader of the Hungarian Democratic Party in Romania." However, the official name of that party is "Uniunea Democratica a Maghiarilor din Romania", which translates as "The Hungarian Democratic Union in Romania". The difference is not as subtle as it may seem, because political unions and parties are not the same thing under Romanian legislation.

As far as I know (although I do not have a source at hand), UDMR is not registered as a party, but rather as a political and electoral union. In time, there have even been some controversies (especially coming from the sides of radical parties, like PRM) regarding the legality of UDMR's participation in the ellections. Does anyone have access to more coherent sources regarding this issue?
