Daniel W. McCarthy – President and CEO of the Global Water Business for Black & Veatch

Daniel W. McCarthy is the President and CEO of Black & Veatch’s global water business and has been a member of the Black & Veatch Board of Directors since 2006.

Since joining Black & Veatch in 1976, McCarthy has served in roles as design engineer and project manager for both traditional and engineering, procurement and construction projects. He has also served as manager for the Midwest region of the water business, with progressive leadership responsibilities in a variety of management roles, including President of the company’s Water Americas Division.

McCarthy currently serves as a board member of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, an advisory group member for the Singapore International Water Week and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Water Environment Federation’s World Water & Environmental Engineering magazine. He has also served in the past as a board member for the American Water Works Association.

Since taking office as President and CEO of Black & Veatch’s global water business, McCarthy has presented at many global conferences, such as WEFTEC, AWWA, IWA Aspire Utility Leaders Forum, EFCG’s CEO Conference, Singapore International Water Week, Water Executive Forum, Farkas Berkowitz CEO Forum and the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
