Australian War Memorial www.awm.gov.au. Photograph 116922 Caption: Physical description: Black & white Summary: Kuching, Sarawak. 1945-09-11. Colonel T. Suga, Imperial Japanese Army, Commandant of all the Japanese Prisoner of War Camps in Borneo. He committed suicide six days later.

Suga committed suicide in the early hours of 16 September, ie five days after this photograph was taken.
