I rode thru Avondale (The Mushroom capital of the US, it would appear) and was very surprised to see how completely overwritten in Spanish everything seemed to be. All the stores and restaurants on the road had Spanish either alone or prominent on their signage. Not something you typically imagine in the Northeast US.
